The Kennett Area YMCA is pleased to partner with Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital to offer a free community training focused on suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training

Tuesday, August 25
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Kennett Area YMCA, FAC
Free and Open to the Community

Facilitated by Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital, QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention program that teaches participants how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and respond effectively. Similar to CPR for physical emergencies, QPR provides practical skills to:

  • Question someone who may be struggling
  • Persuade them to seek help
  • Refer them to appropriate resources and support

This training is designed for anyone who wants to be better prepared to support friends, family members, coworkers, students, or community members experiencing a mental health crisis. No prior experience is necessary.

Training Overview

Join us at the Kennett Area YMCA on Tuesday, August 25, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM for this informative and potentially lifesaving training. Participants will learn how to identify warning signs, initiate supportive conversations, and connect individuals with resources that can make a meaningful difference.
