2026 Annual Meeting

United Way SCC hosted its Annual Meeting on May 20, 2026 and revealed the allocation of $500,000 to 28 nonprofit programs delivered by 22 partner agencies serving communities in the Southern Chester County region. As we move into the 2026 Community Investment cycle, our funding priorities are centered around two impact areas: Healthy Community and Youth Opportunity.

The announcement was delivered in front of an audience that included UWSCC Board members, staff, community members, agency representatives, and members of the Allocations Committee. These funds will support a diverse range of initiatives designed to meet the region’s most pressing needs, combining both immediate assistance and long-term solutions. The meeting also included a brief interaction of the ALICE simulator called Impossible Choices and an update on our strategic plan. A special announcement was made about two new initiatives for ALICE:

  • Too Small to Fail - Through our partnership with Kennett Trails Alliance, we plan to create an outdoor, mobile library to be placed for the summer months in Anson B. Nixon Park, and
  • Lift ALICE up & Financial Education - In partnership with Oxford Neighborhood Services Center, funds will be made available to cover a portion of the cost for car repairs in order to stay mobile & employed (requirements must be met).
