On October 24th, United Way of Southern Chester County celebrated the success of our Community Skills Initiative AI Skill-a-thon! This program was brought to our community through a generous grant from Microsoft and enabled local residents to take online workshops to learn more about AI: what it is and how to best utilize this tool. In addition to agency winners, UWSCC awarded over $10,000 to individuals who participated in this initiative.
Staff, board members, agency partners, and neighbors joined for an exciting awards presentation, where we were thrilled to recognize participants and winners. Special thanks to Microsoft representatives who flew in from El Paso and Seattle to support the evening, and to The Creamery of Kennett Square for providing the venue and delicious food, adding to the festive atmosphere!
Congratulations to our incredible agency winners:
Kennett High School - First Place ($5,000)
LCH Community Services - Second Place ($3,000)
Kennett Library - Third Place ($2,000)
RSVP - Fourth Place ($1,000)
YoungMoms - Honorable Mention ($500)
Thank you to everyone who made this event and our Community Skills Initiative possible. Together, we’re building a stronger community through skills and innovation!
