Minority Mental Health: Discussions on Healing

Tuesday, July 22nd

6:00 – 7:00 PM

The Brandywine Center

244 E. Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320

Facilitators:

Tiffany Cooke, MD, MBA, MA, CLC, FAAP

Christina Gamez, MSN, RN-BC, EBPC, HTCP
and a representative from Union Behavioral Health

This physician-led, multidisciplinary event is about helping people learn and understand the challenges faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Join us to explore why there are differences in mental health for these communities and the special struggles they deal with, such as racism, intergenerational trauma, and cultural beliefs that make it hard to talk about mental health.

This event will focus on real experiences and voices of BIPOC individuals to have honest conversations about healing and finding strength. Experts in mental health and mindfulness will provide on-site advice, resources, and support.

Light refreshments will be provided.
